Next weekend, Fr. Charles Smiech, a Franciscan and friend of Fr. Kevin, will preach at all the Masses in preparation for our Parish Retreat and Mission from April 8-10. It will be a chance to be enlightened by the transforming power of God's Word.
              I also wanted to let you know that thanks to the hard work of the newly married and internet savvy Andrew and Jackie Miller, I am now on the internet! The podcast is called Millennial Catholic. Andrew Miller proceeds to fire questions at me about everything ranging from the Mass and the Church to Lent. In one of our podcasts, we talk about the importance of going on a retreat and why going to the Parish Retreat and Mission on April 8th-10th is a good thing to do. In reality, every Sunday should be a retreat day.. Especially in our modern world where we can never seem to catch our breath, we are in desperate need of a Sabbath. The Sabbath is one day in the week where God commands us to stop working. A time where we do not have to jump through hoops to keep up with organized sports, competitions, rehearsals and practices.  Instead, Sunday is a day we can actually have fun and be recreated by God. A good way to start to get back in the swing of keeping the Sabbath fun is by coming to our Parish Mission and Retreat from April 8-10th. Hope to see you there!
