St. Edward the Confessor's Fun Day!!

In just two weeks, on Sunday, October 7th after the 11:30am Sunday Mass, we will be having our St. Edward’s Fun Day! Last year was the first time that I got to experience Fun Day here at St. Edward’s. My Mom and Dad also came and they were blown away by how awesome our community is here. They even want to start something like it at their home parish back in Virginia. If you have not been to a St. Edward’s Fun Day, you owe it to yourself to attend. There will games, all kinds of activity for the kids, and great food. There will be something for everyone in the family.
Each Sunday, we give the sign of peace to one another in the celebration of the Eucharist. Sometimes we get the chance to chat a little longer after Mass. However, there are many other good people in our parish who might be sitting in a section we rarely visit. As a priest, I often get to speak to you individually and get to know how wonderful you are either before or after Mass. There are so many good people here at St. Edward’s and the Fun Day gives us the opportunity to grow in awareness and gratitude of how God has drawn us all together. I hope to see you at Fun Day on Sunday, October 7th after the 11:30am Mass. I will say a special prayer to St. Edward’s that we have good weather and I hope to see you there!
