This parish group is now a chapter in the international movement. It is one of just a few in the USA. CWA has African foundations, with women in service to the Church, in the name of Our Lady. The parish group meets for Bible study and Catechetical lessons, Rosary and parish, food fellowship, and planning for community building, work for the parish, and facilitating persons of the Catholic faith into the church outside of their native lands (Cameroon, Nigeria) with participation and growth. It is an ecclesial movement for the lay holiness of life in Catholicism. All women of the parish are welcome to attend.
They meet twice a month on Sunday afternoons of the month at the parish hall—beginning after the 1130 Mass concludes.
They take care of things in the church, as needed, and participate liturgically with us, sometimes bringing their native practices into the parish Mass. They cook for church socials. They build up women in the parish. They also have an Archdiocesan presence.
