Lenten Opportunities To Grow In Faith

OUR LENTEN JOURNEY AT ST. EDWARD’S 

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. Abstinence from meat is to be observed by all Catholics 14 and older.  Fasting is to be observed by all Catholics 18 years but not yet 60. No solid food between meals and two smaller meals with one full meal is permitted.
