The Easter blessings keep coming here at St. Edward’s!

This past Sunday, we had our Confirmation here at St. Edward’s. We have been praying for these Confirmandi throughout the year. I remember fondly the retreat we had to the National Shrine where the bible stories we have been learning about, really came to life. Maureen Curtis and Charlotte Bednarczyk have worked so very hard to prepare these kids for Confirmation with numerous retreats, activities and catechesis. Please keep them in your prayers that our newly confirmed remain steadfast in the faith.
By the time you get this bulletin, our First Communicants will have received their First Communion. Please keep them in your prayers.
This weekend we also have our first-year anniversary of our youth group meeting from 6:30-8:30pm Sunday. We have many fun activities planned throughout the summer. We look forward the our newly confirmed joining us! Also, we are getting a seminarian for the summer, Fredy Calderon. He will be living with me in the rectory from about the middle of May to the middle of July. He is going to be shadowing me and learning what it is like to be a priest in a parish. I am thrilled that he is going to be with us. The Easter blessings keep coming here at St. Edward’s!
