Thanks to Fr Scott for his initiative. Thanks to Fr Maurice who bravely showed up in spite of the odds against him. Thanks to Divine, who responded to the invitation to lead this initiative. We were also highly honored by the presence of our sisters from other CWA branches. May the fight move from the battle fields to the Divine House of God, and May the Holy Rosary remain our greatest weapon to chase away the spirit of death. And know that the population is yearning for more INJ. Go into the world, be carriers of living water Blessed are the Peace Makers, they shall be called the children of God You will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but indeed to the ends of the earth TMTJ. Pray for the dead and the dead will pray for you. November is the month of All Souls. Please find envelopes in all the pews to write down the names of your loved ones. We will put the envelopes on the altar November 2nd in remembrance of all those whom we have lost in this life. The envelopes will remain on the altar throughout the month of November and will be added to as necessary.

Once again, we will be providing Thanksgiving baskets to those in need. We ask the six area Elementary Schools to let us know of 5 or 6 families in their schools who may appreciate Thanksgiving meals. Please donate from the list below. You may bring items and place them in the baskets at the entrances from now until Nov.17-18th. You may also place envelopes marked “Turkey $$$$$” in the Collection Baskets at Mass. Help would be appreciated to assemble the baskets on Sun., Nov. 18th, at 12:30 pm. Please notify Rosemary at [email protected] if you can help deliver on Nov. 19tth, at 9 am. STUFFING, CRANBERRY SAUCE, GRAVY, CANNED VEGETABLES, CANNED FRUIT, PIE MIX, PIE CRUST MIX, BOXED OR CANNED WHITE POTATOES, CANNED SWEET POTATOES AND CORN MUFFIN MIX. NO FRESH PRODUCE.

MINISTRY FAIR ON OCTOBER 27TH & 28TH Do you feel God tugging at your heart strings to serve St. Edward’s in some way but aren’t sure what to do? Come to the Ministry Fair and find a ministry that suits your personality, talents and time line. We have something for everyone at almost every age. As Jesus said, “Come and See!”

Please join the Ladies on Friday, October 26th, at 10:00am in the church. Fr. Scott will be giving a talk on, “Heaven, Hell and Purgatory”.

On October 26th, the program will start at 5:30 pm with adoration until 7pm and Mass at 7:30pm. Reception to follow. 

Two Fridays ago at the daily Mass, a man spontaneously got up and started to talk about how touched he was by our service and our prayers. We were moved emotionally.

This past Thursday, September 27th, our own seminarian Christian Huebner was ordained to the diaconate in the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican.
